Nourish 2019 – March
A series of curated conversations with visual artists, makers and professionals on the current state of the visual arts across the region. Hosted by Yorkshire & Humber Visual Arts Network (YVAN) and designed by Yoke. Together, we will put together and take forward actions to make positive change happen for practicing artists and makers.
Take part in ARTIST REALITY – A Grand Game
The Nourish conversations will all be part of a grand game of ARTIST REALITY, designed and presented by Yoke, artist duo Annie Nelson & Chris Woodward, in which participants will be rewarded for their contributions.
Make entries in the diary room, partake in a round table discussion, meet, share, promote others and take action, all to earn points in this grand game.
All events are free and will take place 1.30 – 4pm:
The Art House, Wakefield: 19 March
Empty Space, Humber Street: Hull: 21 March
Herriot’s Hotel, Skipton: 27 March
Wentworth Woodhouse, Rotherham: 28 March

Nourish is a YVAN artist consultation project, now in its fourth year, to hear directly from artists and arts organisations in the region. Your presence builds a stronger more resilient visual arts network, is used to map the sector and build opportunities to engage non-arts partners. Previous agendas focused on Artists’ Livelihoods, Place, Gentrification and the Artist Studio.
Nourish 2019 is supported by Arts Council England and is a partnership between Yorkshire & Humber Visual Arts Network, The Art House, Great Place Wentworth & Elsecar, Wykeland Group, Great Place: Lakes and Dales and Sheffield Hallam University
