A new programme of support for visual artists
Chrysalis Arts is launching a new programme to support artists’ practice and engagement with climate change and related environmental and sustainability issues.
Greening Arts Practice
A new programme of talks and discussions incorporating a diverse range of approaches to art, ecological and sustainability issues. The programme should be of interest to artists who are thinking about how they can get involved in these issues as an evolving part of their practice as well as those who are already working in this area. It will involve artists, curators, producers and those who work with them with the aim of offering different perspectives and experiences and overcoming some of the barriers and perceptions that currently restrict creative participation. Chrysalis Arts Mentoring Programme Supporting Emerging Talent
A new mentoring programme developed by Chrysalis Arts to offer in depth professional development support to six emerging artists (aged 25 and under) over an initial two-year period. The participants will be able to access bespoke mentoring support and collaborative learning opportunities whilst simultaneously developing and implementing either:
- an artist in residence programme of activity
- a social engagement project
- creating a new body of work for professional presentation at the end of Year 2 of the programme, including audience engagement activities as part of the process
If you are interested in any of these opportunities, get in touch: 01756 748529 / artconnections@chrysalisarts.
