YVAN presents: Beyond the Obvious 2 On Tour // Rotherham

In October, we’ll be launching our BTO2 On Tour showcase in Rotherham coinciding with Black History Month!

Our regional artists from the global majority will be exhibiting work at Riverside House in Rotherham. We’ll also be doing some action research as part of the exhibition to provide a space for creative people across the Yorkshire and Humber region to express their thoughts on a few key issues.

Where: Riverside Gallery, Riverside House, Main St, Rotherham, S60 1AE

When:  5th - 28th October 2023

Opening times:

Monday & Thursday - 8.30am to 7pm

Tues, Wed, Fri- 8:30am to 5:30pm

Saturday - 9am to 4pm

Sunday/bank holidays - Closed

We’ve been in collaboration with Sheffield Hallam University to share a sector snapshot highlighting the lived experience of artists from the global majority in the Yorkshire and Humber region.

This Arts Council funded project saw a publication of Beyond the Obvious 2, which in the words of Sunshine Wong, "elicits more questions than answers”. Once again, we’re inviting visitors to explore and interrogate these questions in this participatory exhibition.
