Uncover Cultural Skills
A celebration of creativity and community.
Uncover Cultural Skills is a project to highlight hidden creative talents and skills within local community groups in Rotherham and a showcase of art and crafts inspired by culture, nature and freedom. The exhibition (which you can view online here) highlights how important cultural skills are, how they can be shared and celebrated widely. Providing agency to those who see value in sharing and shaping their cultural heritage for future generations. The community groups taking part included an intergenerational group of members, young, older, families, mainly women and children with South Asian heritage.

تخلیقی صلاحیت اور کمیونٹی کا جشن۔روتھرم کے مقامی کمیونٹی گروپوں کے اندر چھپی ہوئی تخلیقی صلاحیتوں اور مہارتوں کو اجاگر کرنا — ایک ایسی نمائش جو ثقافت، فطرت اور آزادی سے متاثر فنون اور دستکاری کو پیش کرتی ہے۔یہ نمائش اس بات کو نمایاں کرتی ہے کہ ثقافتی مہارتیں کتنی اہم ہیں، یہ کس طرح دوسروں کے ساتھ شیئر کی جا سکتی ہیں اور وسیع پیمانے پر منائی جا سکتی ہیں۔ یہ ان لوگوں کو اختیار فراہم کرتی ہے جو اپنی ثقافتی وراثت کو آئندہ نسلوں کے لیے بانٹنے اور تشکیل دینے کو قیمتی سمجھتے ہیں۔
نمائش میں حصہ لینے والے کمیونٹی گروپوں میں مختلف نسلوں کے افراد شامل تھے: نوجوان، بزرگ، خاندان، جن میں زیادہ تر خواتین اور جنوبی ایشیائی پس منظر رکھنے والے بچے شامل تھے۔
